Still staring at that blank page?

Let’s get to work.

Hello.

I'm Carrie Allin, a freelance writer and editor based in Colorado. I specialize in marketing communications for clients of all sizes.

After spending five years at an agency, I decided to try out life as a freelancer.  I love the variety in my work and I find great satisfaction in helping my clients create something they can be proud of. Whether you have a complicated writing project or just need some help fine-tuning, let's explore the opportunity to work together.

Words have the power to evoke emotion, bring clarity, or raise important questions. They can change our perspective or make us jump into action.

Together, we can harness this power to deliver your message effectively.

Skills

While being a good writer is about choosing the right words at the right time, a writer’s most valuable skill is being a good listener. After all, good writing is a reflection of clear thinking, so being able to listen to the client—and ask the right questions!—makes all the difference.

Clients

My clients range from national marketing agencies to individual city council members, and from small start-ups to established businesses and nonprofits. My work has been routinely delivered to Fortune 100 companies. It’s also been featured in Denver’s Rocky Mountain News and the national publication, The Sports Business Journal.

Motivation

Finding just the right words to tell the story is like putting together a puzzle. Once it’s complete, it’s suddenly easy to see the big picture.

Although finding the right words can be difficult, luckily, I love a challenge. And understanding an unfamiliar subject enough to clearly write about it? That’s a challenge I relish.
